About the building
The more than 130 years old Eiffel Hall was designed by János Feketeházy, and was part of the Northern Vehicle Repair Shop of MÁV for decades. The decision of the Hall’s renovatation and transformation was made in 2015, as the Eiffel Project will see the Hungarian State Opera and Erkel Theatre move their new workshop and rehearsal centre to the Eiffel Hall.
The official opening of the renovated workshop took place in October 2021.
About the project
The Eiffel-hall and three other connecting monumental buildings were reconstructed, during which several rooms with musical functions were created. Our job was to prepare the facility’s complex acoustic design plans.
To the request of general contractor Közti Zrt., we prepared the acoustic chapters for the investment’s licensing and implementation design documentation. Throughout the implementation, solutions that differ from the original plans have also been established.
