Several musical spaces are created in the Opera Workshop and Trial Centre design project . In order for these rooms to function properly and the acoustic quality to be adequate, the shape of the rooms had to be optimized. The optimization problem of the room’s shape, which is suitable for various acoustic parameters, is a high-freedom, multi-parameter task, so it became necessary to develop a unique design tool. In order to solve the problem, we have developed a room shape optimization design tool with a genetic algorithm, which will be used in several other projects. The system operates with real-time radiation monitoring and is capable of moving and selecting the walls and equipment of the room in pre-set search ranges in such a way that the desired acoustic effect can be obtained with the appropriate aesthetic quality.
